Challenges
Vicks wanted to build relevance for the Vicks Inhaler among 25–30-year-olds who struggle with blocked noses on the go but view inhalers as old-fashioned or embarrassing. The goal was to reposition it as a modern, convenient, anytime-anywhere fix tailored for the ANZ market.
What we did
We created platform-optimized short-form content for Meta and TikTok built on Vicks’ global framework. Each reel opened with a bold red-nose hook: the protagonist inhales, the frame zooms out, and we reveal they’re in the most unexpected everyday situations – on a date, in a meeting, at a picnic, on the road, out in the day, and more.
This was supported by product romance, sensory wind-blown cues, and the iconic “Anytime, Anywhere” transition to cue instant relief.
Results
The ANZ assets were very well-received and led to an immediate request to adapt the same creative approach for the Philippines market. This expanded the project into a multi-region rollout while keeping the core idea and visual hooks consistent.
